Your account
Deleting your account
You can delete your account, your portraits and your photos at any time, straight from the app.
How to delete your account
- Open Jane Austen Photo Studio and tap the Profile button (the person icon) at the top right of the front page.
- Under Account, tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation and tap Delete Account again. If you signed in with Apple, you confirm with Apple first.
If a portrait is still being painted, wait for it to finish and try again.
What is deleted
- Your account and your portrait history.
- Every photo you uploaded, and every portrait and thumbnail painted from them.
- Any unused portrait credits. They cannot be restored, moved or refunded by us.
- Sign in with Apple for Jane Austen Photo Studio, which we revoke with Apple.
Deletion cannot be undone. Save any portraits you want to keep to your Photos first. Portraits you have already saved or shared are yours and are not affected.
What we keep
- A record of your App Store purchases: the transaction identifiers, the portraits bought and how many were used, so that Apple refund requests about those purchases can still be handled.
- One-way coded markers of your device and Apple ID, so that a new account cannot claim the free portraits again. They cannot be turned back into your device or Apple ID.
Neither contains any photos or portraits. Routine backups may hold deleted information for a limited period before they expire, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
On this iPhone
Recent photos you used are kept on your iPhone only, to make your next sitting quicker. Clear them in Profile, or delete the app.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app, email [email protected] from the address you use with Apple, and tell us roughly when you last used the app. We will delete your account and confirm by email.
